The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s cause, or like one who spends the night in prayer and the day in fasting.”

This Hadith elevates the act of caring for widows to the level of some of the highest forms of worship in Islam.
